Participants in Arabic courses
1- Every
interested student who is aware of the country and its people can participate is the
Arabic classes. The Arabic class gives due care to the placement of participants according
to their knowledge of Arabic. The maximum number of each group is 15, the minimum number
is 6. The beginners class in an introduction to Arabic with the aim to familiarize the
students, businessmen and orientalists with Arabic as a means of communication. In
advanced classes, the scope of knowledge is enlarged and deepened.
2- The orientalists and islamists can increase their practice of Arabic
inside and outside the classroom.
Preparation prior to your trip to
Egypt
1- After
registration, each course participant will receive a confirmation together with a
placement form to check the linguistic level (beginners are exempt).
2- Please fill in the placement form return it at least 6 weeks before
the course begins. The data in this form will be evaluated in order to form groups of
participants with comparable knowledge of Arabic.
3- As an introduction to the Arabic course in Cairo, you have the
possibility to participate in a weekend course in Mannheim (Germany).
4- If you wish to reside with an Egyptian family, we need some
particulars regarding you age, job hobbies and a photo with the signed information sheet
about accommodation with a host family.
5- 2 weeks before the course starts and after having paid the course
fees, each participant will receive all necessary documents with the information about the
course.
Important Hints
1- You
needs an “ Entry Visa “ to Egypt. In case of short residence in Egypt, you can
get the visa upon arrival at Cairo Airport. The validity of the passport should not be
less than 6 months after leaving Cairo Airport. In case of longer residence in Egypt,
please contact the nearest Egyptian Consulate, and in both cases you apply personally
for the visa.
2- Also, you must reconfirm your return flight the latest 4 days before
departure.
3- before travelling to Cairo, please get information about Health
Insurance, Baggage Insurance, Travel Cancellation Insurance because the AZ offers no
insurance.
4- If the number of registered participants for a course does not reach
6, the course will either be cancelled and fees are refunded or the class size will be
increased for the group of less than 6.Participants are informed 3 weeks before the course
begins and after we have received the placement form.
5- There are no classes on official Egyptian holidays.
