The Trip:
1st day: Cairo
flight to Cairo, transfer to the hotel
2nd day: Cairo time for individual disposal
3rd day: Cairo – Oasis Baharyia
Departure at 4 am. Drive about 6 hours to
Baharyia. Lunch in the desert. After arriving in the capital Bauwietii and a
short break drive to the spring "Bir-El-Gaba" (about 8 km, water-temperature
about 38° C). We spend the night in a cottage (palmtree roof). Dinner, swimming,
campfire.
4th
day: Oasis Baharyia
After breakfast walk to the pyramid mountain.
Sightseeing. Back to the spring "Bir-El-Gaba". Lunch, swimming, relaxation.
5th day: Oasis Baharyia
In the morning walk to the gardens around the
spring.
Then lunch and time for individual disposal.
Dinner and campfire in the evening.
6th day: The White Desert –
Oasis Farafra
Around 8 in the morning we head for the White Desert.
Picnic. Opportunity to walk around and watch the beautiful scenery with the
fantastic limestone mountains. Then drive to the oasis Farafra. Dinner.
7th day: Oasis Farafra
After breakfast visit of the museum in the
village and of the oasis "Djallau". After lunch sightseeing at the gardens of
Farafra, the main spring.
Then drive to the spring "Bir Seta" with the possibility of swimming.
8th day: Oasis Dachla
Drive to the oasis Dachla after breakfast with
stops a beautiful places on the way. In the afternoon arrival in the capital
"Mut". There is the opportunity of taking a bath in a natural spring (about 40°
C). The rest of the day is available for individual disposal.
9th day: Oasis Dachla
In the morning we visit "El-Kasr", an town
founded in the middle ages. Then visit of the graves of "El-Musauwaka" from the
Roman times. At night visit of the museum of the town.
10th day: Oasis Kharga
Drive to Kharga, the biggest oasis of the
Egyption desert. On the way luch at the dunes belonging to the great "Abou
Moharik Dunes", which cover hundreds of kilometers from north to south. Arrival
at the oasis Kharga in the early evening. After a break we will visit the Hibis
temple, which was built for Goodness Amun. Also visit of the Christian graves of
"El-Bagauwat" (3rd - 7th century).
11th day: Oasis Kharga
Visit of old traditional local craft shops. Visit
of the market and the old part of the town.
12th day: Oasis Kharga: time
for individual disposal
13th day: Oasis Kharga – Cairo
Drive back to Cairo with several stops at
beautiful places. At night arrival in Cairo.
14th day: Cairo : time for
individual disposal
15th day: Cairo : transfer to the airport
